Radiant heat is a completely safe form of naturally occurring energy that heats objects directly though a process called conversion, without having to heat the air in between.
The sun has infrared (IR) and ultraviolet (UV) light rays. UV rays are the bad rays and IR is the good ray. Infrared light warms deeply inside the body tissues without heating the air or the external part of the body much at all.
There are three forms of infrared, but only Far Infrared has the capability of penetrating our body tissues 1.5 inches or more. This is 3 times more heat penetration into your body than is provided by steam or dry saunas.
Conventional saunas transfer heat by circulating hot air - warming your body from your head down whereas infrared heat rays warm your body directly. This allows an in-depth heat at a more pleasant temperature of 100-150°F providing more health benefits and a highly enjoyable and comfortable environment.
